JAMMU, Jan 21: The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change has appointed Suresh Kumar Gupta, a 1991 batch officer of the AGMUT cadre of the Indian Forest Service (IFS), as the new Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF) for Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an order, Gupta, who is currently serving as PCCF (Ex-cadre) in J&K, will take on the new position effective February 1, 2025, following the retirement of the current officeholder on January 31, 2025.
He will be placed in Level-17 of the Pay Matrix with a salary of Rs 2,25,000, contingent upon his formal assumption of duty.
