Srinagar, Feb 11: The Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura has established a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cell aimed at enhancing patient welfare through collaborative efforts with external partners.
This five-member team is responsible for bolstering healthcare infrastructure and enhancing patient services by securing CSR funding and building partnerships with corporations for the holistic advancement of healthcare at the institute.
The team will focus on identifying critical areas for CSR involvement, such as infrastructure enhancement, patient services, procurement of medical equipment, and research assistance.
Moreover, the cell will create partnerships with corporate entities and additional stakeholders while adhering to CSR regulations, ensuring the effective management and oversight of CSR resources.
According to the directive, the cell will also encourage transparency and accountability in all its CSR initiatives.
Meetings will be conducted quarterly or as necessary to evaluate ongoing and prospective projects, along with periodic reporting of CSR activities to the Director of SKIMS.
The members of the cell include Prof. Ajaz Ahmad Lone from the Cardiology Department, the Chief Accounts Officer (SKIMS, Soura), the Assistant Director (Public Relations), the Administrative Officer (Hospital Administration), and the Assistant Legal Remembrancer (SKIMS).
