ARNIA, Jan 5: Pt Rajesh Kesri, President of Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K, expressed his concerns regarding the inadequate sanitation and healthcare facilities in government-run hospitals serving rural communities. Speaking at a gathering of party workers, he emphasized that the lack of essential services in these facilities is exacerbating the challenges faced by sick patients.

Kesi pointed out the deficiencies in the Arnia hospital, stating, “With nearly 100 villages relying on the single hospital in Arnia Block, the current facilities are insufficient for the needs of the local population.” He noted that the hospital lacks specialized departments and necessary equipment, hindering patients’ access to timely and appropriate medical care. He further criticized the outdated infrastructure, poor lighting, and inadequate sanitation, which jeopardize patient safety and care quality.

“Attracting and retaining medical professionals has proven difficult, resulting in staffing shortages and an increased burden on the remaining staff. The absence of advanced diagnostic tools, including MRI and CT scanners, complicates accurate diagnoses and treatment procedures. Additionally, there are no emergency services available, such as ambulances, emergency rooms, or trauma care,” he explained.

Kesi reiterated the need to enhance existing Sub-District Hospitals to handle more intricate medical cases, ensuring the local population receives timely and effective treatment. He stressed that maintaining 24/7 access to specialized care at these facilities is crucial for prompt and efficient responses to critical health situations.

Others present at the meeting included Balveer Kumar, Balwant Saini, Rajkumar Baba, Sanjeev Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Dakshin Devi, Geeta Devi, Pooja Devi, and Anita Devi.
