Srinagar, Dec 6: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, emphasized on Friday that his administration is actively striving to uphold the commitments made to the populace while ensuring the preservation of the region’s unique identity.
During a working committee meeting with provincial party officials at the NC headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Abdullah, who also serves as the vice president of the National Conference, made these statements.
“The civilian administration is fully dedicated to realizing the promises set forth in our (party’s election) manifesto, with a strong emphasis on maintaining the distinct identity of our region,” he asserted.
According to an NC spokesperson, the gathering addressed significant party matters alongside immediate public issues.
Abdullah reiterated the government’s “unwavering” commitment to overcoming the developmental hurdles faced over the last decade, “focusing keenly on safeguarding the unique identity of the region.”
He made it abundantly clear that progress in Jammu and Kashmir must not come at the expense of the dignity of its people; rather, both must advance together, the spokesman indicated.
The chief minister reaffirmed his dedication to tirelessly serving the populace, pledging to remain resolute in addressing public concerns while pursuing the restoration of statehood and the region’s comprehensive development.
