Dear Sir,
The renewed conflict in Syria highlights the tragic impact of foreign interventions and extremist ideologies. The Syrian Salvation Government in Idlib, with its connections to al-Qaida-related factions, combined with NATO’s support for jihadist groups, has intensified the violence. Additionally, Israel’s military actions, Iran’s involvement, and Turkey’s occupation further complicate the situation. The presence of US military forces, which are meant to curb the resurgence of ISIS, is actually obstructing efforts for reunification.
To avert a disastrous escalation in the region, we must make peace our primary objective. This necessitates:
– Ending Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon
– Initiating dialogue to resolve the great power tensions in Ukraine
– Urging Turkey to limit its support for jihadist allies
The global community must acknowledge the interlinked nature of these conflicts and strive toward a cohesive resolution.
Sincerely,
Ramzan Choudhary
