JAMMU, Jan 19: Tariq Hussain, a former International Foil Fencer and National Level Referee, who also holds an NIS Certificate in Fencing Coaching and Sports Psychology, has been appointed as a coach at the Academy D’Armi “Agesilao Greco” in Caltagirone, Catania, Italy.
Originating from Jammu & Kashmir, Tariq is currently a trainee at the J&K Sports Council Fencing Training Centre located at M.A Stadium, Jammu. He is actively engaged in coaching and refereeing with the Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association (JKFA). This new position at a European club marks a significant milestone in his career and highlights his international recognition in the field of fencing.
The JKFA has extended their congratulations to Tariq on this accomplishment and expressed their hopes for his success in this new coaching role, believing it may serve as an inspiration for aspiring young fencers from the region.
