SRINAGAR, Jan 9: On Thursday, police reported the arrest of three associates of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a police spokesman, the trio was apprehended by a collaborative team from the police, army, and CRPF while investigating an FIR registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at the Qaimoh police station in the district.
The individuals—identified as Ubaid Khursheed Khanday, Maqsood Ahmad Bhat, and Umer Bashir—are all residents of Thokerpora in Kulgam.
The spokesperson stated that the joint operation led to the recovery of a cache of weapons, including two AK-series rifles, eight magazines, 217 rounds of ammunition, five hand grenades, and two magazine pouches.
He further mentioned that the arrested individuals were planning to execute significant terrorist activities in Kulgam District.
