SRINAGAR, Feb 9: Three police officers sustained injuries when a vehicle from the escort of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti veered off the road and plunged into a gorge in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
According to the police, the incident took place in the Watergam village of Sopore township when the escort vehicle in the cavalcade of the former Chief Minister lost control and skidded off the road, resulting in minor injuries to the three officers.
The injured officers were transferred to a nearby medical facility for treatment, as stated by authorities.
It was reported that the PDP president was en route to Kupwara at the time.
