SRINAGAR, Jan 5: A family of five from Baramulla, including three children, tragically lost their lives today in a suspected asphyxiation incident while staying in a rented space here.
The couple and their three children were discovered unconscious in their rented home at Sheikh Mohalla, Pandarethan area of Srinagar under unclear circumstances, as per a police official’s statement.
They were rushed to a hospital, where medical personnel pronounced them dead upon arrival.
The police reported that an electric blower was located within the enclosed area where the deceased were found.
While suffocation seems to be the cause of death, the authorities have commenced inquest proceedings to delve deeper into the incident, according to the police official.
