Two passenger buses collided in Thorayaya, northwestern Sri Lanka, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to approximately 25 others, according to police reports.
The injured parties have been taken to Kurunegala Teaching Hospital, which is the primary medical facility in the area, as stated by authorities.
Reports indicate that one of the buses was traveling at a high speed when the accident occurred.
Road traffic accidents are a frequent occurrence in Sri Lanka, particularly involving buses, as indicated by official statistics.
