Jammu, Feb 4: Police reported on Monday that two individuals have been arrested in connection with the abduction of two girls from their homes in separate incidents. Fortunately, both girls have been safely rescued.
On January 19, a woman filed a complaint at the Domana police station, claiming that Sonu Kumar, originally from Nabyua Kallan in Uttar Pradesh and currently living in Greater Kailash, had kidnapped her 16-year-old daughter.
Following this report, law enforcement registered a case and initiated an investigation.
In a different incident on January 31, another woman lodged a complaint at the Pouni Chak police post. She accused Mohammad Asfak from Jharkhand of abducting her 24-year-old daughter from their home in Jammu.
Authorities registered a case based on her complaint as well.
Special teams from the Domana police station were tasked with locating the missing girls. Through extensive efforts and the use of technical resources, the police were able to successfully recover both girls from outside the Union Territory and apprehended the suspects.
After completing legal procedures, the rescued individuals were reunited with their families, and further investigations are currently ongoing, officials stated. (Agencies)
