UDHAMPUR, Jan 21: The Kargil Martyrs Handball Club Udhampur successfully hosted a two-day Handball Tournament for under-14 and under-17 boys and girls, which concluded today at the Mini Stadium.
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. A total of 11 teams from various parts of the district participated in the tournament, demonstrating their skills and enthusiasm for the game.
In her address, the Deputy Commissioner commended the organizers for the successful execution of the tournament. She highlighted the significance of such events in nurturing young talent and fostering a sports culture that contributes to a healthy and dynamic community. She also encouraged participants to maintain an active involvement in sports for their physical and mental well-being.
Other attendees included District Youth Services and Sports Officer Romesh Chander Mishra, along with Sanjeev Magotra, Vinod Dogra, Arun Mehta, Manmeet Singh, Ajay Sharma, Pawan Jamwal, and Vinod Sharma.
