Rahul Kumar, a Vijaypur local, has been detained under the PSA following a formal order from the Samba district magistrate, and he is now housed in the Kathua district jail, a police spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson noted that Kumar’s notorious criminal behavior has significantly threatened public peace and order in the area.
In a determined move against drug trafficking and to combat the drug crisis in society, the Jammu police also apprehended wanted drug dealer Vishal Kataria, also known as “Kannu,” under the PIT-NDPS Act, and he has been taken to the Poonch district jail.
Kataria, who resides in Miran Sahib, was charged under the PIT-NDPS Act after the Jammu divisional commissioner issued a formal detention order.
