Jammu, Jan 31: In a significant operation, troops successfully eliminated two heavily-armed terrorists attempting to infiltrate from across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials reported on Friday.
The incident unfolded in the Khari Karmara area of Poonch district on Thursday, with a large-scale search operation ongoing, and updates were received this morning regarding the situation.
“Last night, we detected movement of terrorists at the Line of Control in the Poonch sector. Our vigilant troops promptly engaged the infiltrators, resulting in a fierce exchange of fire,” stated the Army’s Jammu-based White Knight Corps in a post on X.
The operation persisted through the night, culminating in the neutralization of two terrorists.
So far, the search in the area has led to the recovery of numerous weapons and other war-like supplies, according to reports.
