Alerted by the sighting of terrorists attempting to breach the LoC in the Khari Karmara area, Indian troops engaged in a firefight with the infiltrators. Initial reports suggest that at least two of the terrorists sustained gunshot wounds, though it remains unclear whether they were killed or injured. Additional reinforcements have been dispatched to the site, where a thorough search operation is currently in progress. Authorities emphasized that efforts are ongoing to prevent any further terrorist infiltration. There were no casualties among the security forces.
It is believed that the assailants attempting to infiltrate are of Pakistani origin. In a related development, security forces initiated a cordon and search operation in Doda district following alerts about potential terrorist movement. This collaborative operation was executed by police and CRPF personnel in Dorhu, Basti, and nearby forest areas in Bhaderwah at approximately 8:30 AM. The search efforts are ongoing, with further updates expected as reports come in regarding the situation.
