JAMMU, Jan 6: Today marks the 83rd foundation day of UCO Bank, which was founded on January 6, 1943, with its headquarters located in Kolkata, thanks to the vision of industrialist G.D. Birla.
To celebrate this significant milestone, the Gari branch organized a financial literacy and digital onboarding week that ran from January 1 to January 6. As part of this initiative, a customer meet was hosted at the branch to promote financial awareness among the local community.
During the event, Branch Head Vikrant Sharma addressed attendees, highlighting the various schemes offered by the bank that serve the public interest, with a particular focus on its digital products. Additionally, an account opening drive was held, resulting in several new accounts being established, including savings and Public Provident Fund (PPF) accounts.
Attendees included Daniyal Tariq Raina (ABH), Davinder Kumar (Staff), Tajinder Singh, Summit Sharma, Amit Sharma, Y. P. Abrol, Bikram Singh Bandral, and others.
