MOSCOW, Dec 21: The Russian Defence Ministry announced on Saturday that its Tsentr (Center) group of forces successfully repelled 12 counterattacks by Ukrainian forces, resulting in the elimination of approximately 580 Ukrainian soldiers over the past day.
“We successfully countered 12 attacks from Ukrainian armed groups. The enemy suffered losses of up to 580 personnel, along with a German-made Leopard tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, and US-made M113 and M117 armored carriers, as well as four vehicles. Additionally, we intercepted a Polish-made 155-mm Krab howitzer, two 152-mm Msta-B howitzers, two 152-mm D-20 gun-howitzers, two 122-mm D-30 howitzers, and three armored vehicles, including the US-made MaxxPro,” the ministry stated.
Furthermore, the ministry reported that Russia’s Zapad (West) battle group accounted for the elimination of 440 Ukrainian fighters, while the Vostok (East) group eliminated 160, the Dnepr group eliminated 70, and the Sever (North) group eliminated 40 fighters. In addition, Russia’s Yug (South) group reported 285 Ukrainian fighters eliminated.
