‘Aspiring for Courageous and Resilient JK Youth’

JAMMU, Feb 16: Today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was present at the 6th annual day celebration of the Guidance & Career Counselling Cell for Youth Development (GCC) in Gurha Slathia, Samba.

During his speech, Sinha commended the volunteers and everyone involved with the Cell for their dedication to skill development and coaching initiatives aimed at ensuring a prosperous future for the youth.
“This exemplary youth organization sets a benchmark for the entire nation. GCC’s innovative approach towards youth-focused initiatives significantly enhances the quality of their endeavors, empowering them to chase their aspirations. Their commitment to understanding, preserving, and promoting cultural and intellectual heritage is genuinely admirable,” stated the Lieutenant Governor.
He further noted that the GCC’s programs are thoughtfully designed to resonate with the youth’s ambition to embrace a forward-looking perspective. Click here to view the video
“I aspire for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to be fearless, adventurous, and resilient. It’s crucial for our youth to stand firm in their principles and values. I strongly believe that they should demonstrate to the world how to merge age-old traditions with modern scientific advancements,” stated Sinha.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the rapid and inclusive advancement of society is significantly influenced by the productivity of its youth.
“To achieve the progress we envision for Jammu and Kashmir, we must prioritize the health and well-being of our youth at the community level. GCC is actively collaborating with the administration to realize this aim through improved infrastructure and coaching,” he mentioned.
He also highlighted the government’s initiatives under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that empower youth to take the lead in the development journey of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation as a whole.
“Innovative and forward-thinking policies across various sectors such as education, industry, skill development, sports, agriculture, infrastructure, and entrepreneurship, along with transparent and merit-based recruitment practices, have ignited a hopeful vision for our talented youth,” he added.
Furthermore, he acknowledged the efforts of the Guidance & Career Counselling Cell for Youth Development in promoting women empowerment and initiatives such as a mass campaign against drug abuse, competitive exam preparatory programs, leadership development, interview coaching, and sports activities.
The Lieutenant Governor also paid tribute to the valiant Army personnel, freedom fighters, and other distinguished individuals from Gurha Slathia, reflecting on their contributions to the nation.
Present at the event were Surjit Singh Slathia, Member of Legislative Assembly, Samba; Rajesh Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Samba; Sudarshan Singh Slathia, DDC Member; senior officials; members of the Guidance and Counseling Cell for Youth Development (GCC) and a large number of youth.
Mohan Singh Slathia; Lieutenant General (Retd.) Anoop Singh Jamwal, along with several prominent figures from diverse domains, were also in attendance.
