SRINAGAR, Dec 30: Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan convened a meeting on Monday to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir with senior security officials in Srinagar.
“The Home Secretary presided over the meeting, which included high-ranking personnel from security forces, police, and intelligence, where they reviewed the security arrangements,” officials reported.
In addition to evaluating the anti-terror operations within the union territory, the meeting also covered the security protocols along the line of control.
Sources indicated that the recent snowfall was also taken into account, as it might affect the likelihood of increased infiltration attempts from across the border.
Mohan emphasized the importance of maintaining inter-agency collaboration to ensure that peace in Jammu and Kashmir remains undisturbed, particularly with significant events like Republic Day approaching next month.
