SAGAR, Dec 23 : The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, announced on Monday that his government has implemented stringent measures against the “jihad” of love, land, and the “hateful mentality of thook (spitting in food as part of a communal agenda)”.

During a program in Sagar to celebrate ‘Gaurav Diwas’ and inaugurate beautification projects at Lakha Banjara Lake, Dhami mentioned that laws have been instituted in Uttarakhand to prevent riots, and steps are being taken to enforce the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

He attributed the BJP’s successes in Maharashtra and Haryana to the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to Dhami, the Prime Minister has contributed significantly to the enhancement of religious sites related to ‘Sanatan Dharma’.

“Our party is committed to establishing a common civil code for all citizens of India. This achievement is a point of pride for Uttarakhand. The Ganga of UCC has its origins in Uttarakhand, and the entire nation will reap its benefits,” asserted CM Dhami.

The UCC is anticipated to be enforced in Uttarakhand starting in January.

“We have made numerous decisions and legislations against conversion and to curb riots. We have taken decisive action against land jihad and love jihad, as well as the hateful mentality associated with ‘thook’ (spitting) jihad. Our aim is to uphold the foundational character of Uttarakhand, which is known as Devbhoomi (land of deities). These initiatives will fortify Indian culture,” Dhami elaborated.

Addressing the opposition, Dhami stated that politics of appeasement and vote banks has transitioned to politics focused on development.

He praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the developmental initiatives undertaken in the past year and emphasized that the central state has overcome its ‘BIMARU’ status due to the “double engine government”.

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister reminisced about his time in Sagar city when his father served at the Mahar Regiment center located there.

On this occasion, Yadav remarked that history will be made in Bundelkhand on December 25 when PM Modi inaugurates the Ken-Betwa river linking project.

This project will benefit all regions within the Sagar division, according to the MP Chief Minister.

During the event, Yadav also transferred Rs 26 crore to the accounts of 24 lakh women beneficiaries of the LPG cylinder refilling scheme. (PTI)
