NEW DELHI, Dec 27: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar’s intended trip to Jammu on Friday has been postponed due to the period of mourning declared by the central government following the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Dhankhar was set to deliver a speech at the convocation ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
His office confirmed that the event has been “postponed”.
The Union Government has announced a seven-day mourning period to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Singh, who passed away at the age of 92 late Thursday night.
