NEW DELHI, Jan 2: Waaree Energies announced on Thursday that it has obtained a significant contract to supply solar modules with a total capacity of 150 MWp for a major renewable energy project in India.
The contract covers the delivery of Waaree’s premier high-efficiency Glass N-type Topcon bifacial modules, which are rated at 585/590Wp, according to a company statement.
These modules are recognized for their robustness, outstanding energy production, and cutting-edge technology, the statement noted.
Waaree Energies Ltd., the largest solar PV module manufacturer in India and a key player in the global energy transition, proudly announces this contract for a 150MW renewable power project from a well-known client involved in the ownership, development, and operation of renewable energy projects in India.
The modules are set to be delivered in the upcoming financial year, 2025-26.
Additionally, Waaree operates a NABL-accredited testing laboratory, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality.
The execution of this project is expected to bolster India’s renewable energy capacity, contribute to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and promote environmental sustainability.
Founded in 1990, with its headquarters in Mumbai, Waaree operates manufacturing facilities with an installed capacity of approximately 13.3 GW for solar PV modules, which includes 1.3 GW from Indosolar. (PTI)
