Baramulla, Feb 5: On Wednesday, security forces reported the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition from a forested area in Anganpathri, located in the Uri Sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to officials, this discovery was made during a joint operation involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police alongside the Indian Army.
The concealed arms and ammunition were found within a hollow pine tree, ensconced in a blanket. The recovered items include 03 AK-47 rifles, 11 AK magazines, 292 AK rounds, 01 UBGL, 09 UBGL grenades, and multiple hand grenades.
In the wake of this recovery, a case has been filed under FIR No. 07/2025 at the Boniyar Police Station in Baramulla, with further investigations currently ongoing. (KNO)
