JAMMU, Feb 24: A tragic accident occurred in Ramban district on Monday, claiming the life of a 33-year-old woman and injuring twelve others.
Reports indicate that a Tata Sumo (JK19A-1331) was traveling from Chabba to Ramban when it overturned in the Galli Upper Neera area at approximately 10:15 am. The deceased has been identified as Sankesha Devi, 33, the wife of Raghbeer Singh from Chabba. The injured individuals were promptly transported to DH Ramban by police and local volunteers.
The injured have been named as Patial Singh, 45, Surjeet Singh (the driver), 28, Chain Singh, 49, Santok Singh, 29, Amar Jyoti, 24, Seema Devi, 40, Raghuveer Singh, 36, Raj Gopal Singh, 24, Kehar Singh, 36, Rangeel Singh, 28, Vidya Devi, 50, and 2-year-old Manika Devi.
A police officer has confirmed the incident and stated that a case has been filed, with investigations currently underway.
