World Bank Predicts India Will Maintain Its Position as the Fastest Growing Economy, Says Modi

BHOPAL, Feb 24: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the World Bank has indicated confidence that India will maintain its status as the world’s fastest-growing economy in the upcoming years.
This statement came during the inauguration of the significant ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit-2025’ in Bhopal, which aimed to highlight the vast potential for investors and industrialists in the state.
According to the World Bank’s Global Economic Prospects report, India is projected to remain the fastest-growing major economy for the next two years.
Modi also mentioned that the establishment of a Deregulation Commission would foster a more investment-friendly regulatory environment in the states.
He highlighted that India is emerging as a key player in the global supply chain for aerospace companies.
Modi noted that sectors such as textiles, tourism, and technology will generate millions of jobs in the future.
Additionally, the Prime Minister introduced 18 new policies from the Madhya Pradesh Government, designed to attract significant investment to the BJP-led state.
“With a skilled workforce and thriving industries, Madhya Pradesh is becoming an attractive location for businesses,” Modi stated.
He added, “Since the formation of the ‘double engine’ government in the state, development in Madhya Pradesh has accelerated significantly.”
Modi pointed out that the state is at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle revolution.
He also stressed the emerging opportunities in the health and wellness sector, stating, “The world is embracing the ‘Heal in India’ initiative.” (Agencies)
