New Delhi, Jan 12: The youth should turn their ideas into actionable outcomes for Viksit Bharat, stated Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, on Sunday.
He made these remarks during a dinner gathering of approximately 100 students from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, coinciding with the ongoing “National Youth Festival 2025,” hosted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
“Events like the National Youth Festival 2025 offer young people a unique national platform to channel their creativity, ambitions, and enthusiasm into real contributions towards a developed India,” remarked Singh.
Highlighting the significance of youth-led initiatives in India’s developmental path, the MoS urged the young people in the state to tap into regional resources for livelihood and startup prospects.
“The active participation of youth from these areas showcases their willingness to be a part of India’s growth narrative. Your ideas and efforts hold the potential to trigger transformative changes, not just for your own communities but for the nation as a whole,” Singh conveyed.
He also pointed out various initiatives spearheaded by the Ministry of Science and Technology aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth.
Singh underscored how these programmes have spurred startup culture, especially in Jammu & Kashmir, where young entrepreneurs have embarked on ventures like lavender cultivation under the Aroma Mission.
The MoS encouraged the youth to investigate opportunities in sectors such as biotechnology, agritech, and renewable energy, assuring the students of comprehensive support from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
“Focus on leveraging innovation and technology to address urgent challenges, and use your participation in the festival as a chance to engage with diverse views from around the country,” added the Minister.
The “National Youth Festival 2025,” taking place in New Delhi from January 10-12, celebrates the vigor and potential of India’s youth. It serves as a dynamic platform for young leaders to express their ideas, collaborate on solutions for national progress, and align with India’s shared vision for advancement.
